Jack is Coming Home!!!!

Welcome Home!!!!
  • Jack is coming home today!!!!! Jack has been released from St. Judes. He reached his goal of becoming the #1 patient at St. Judes. People applauded and complimented Jack on all of his outstanding achievements at St. Judes as he departed today.
  • In true style, Jack stood up from his wheelchair and walked on his own power to his car. All of this after only 10 weeks.
  • The Lord has truly blessed Jack and as we all know has even more wonderful things in store for his life.

We will continue to keep you updated on Jack's status from home. Keep praying and supporting Jack and his family as he comes home!!!!

YEEEEYYYY!!!! Superman is finally getting to go home!!! I'll bet you're soooo happy. I'm sure Karen and the kids are happy too. I know I am so happy for you, Jack. You are doing so great!!! You really have come a long way from the first day. You are going to get completely better, I just know it! You are not going to give up easily!! Which I think is so wonderful. So many people don't do as well. You are truly blessed!! I miss you bunches and think of you quite often. And now that I know who your brother-in-law is, I ask him about you every time he walks in! So just know you are very missed by not only me but every one at work. We all will be glad to see you come in again. It is always a pleasure to wait on you. Sending you and your family lots of prayers and love, your friend, Lori

Jack,
I knew you'd do something spectacular while I was out on vacation, good job. As promised, I'll get with Karen for a menu of items that you enjoy and get the ole Diffenbaugh kitchen going. I'm sure you could use a few extra pounds so the dessert menu will be handled by Judy. I'm sure we could get the girls over at the airport to pack you a few sandwiches every now and than. Have a wonderful day - Love to you all

Hi Jack,

I am so excited for you, congratulations!! I was in Missouri this past week with my family, and my mom and dad asked how you were doing and I was excited to tell them about how well you were doing. They said they have been praying for you daily. You are an awesome example of what faith and hope can accomplish. We love you so much and you are always in our prayers. By the way, I have not lost my keys for 10 weeks...hmmmm. Oh, while I was in Missouri, my dad a a whole new list of Kenisms (like Lloydisms, but from Ken). I will compile the list and send them to you (I never heard of these, but there were some doozies...come from parts of the Ozarks).

Love,
Mary, Reese, Heather, and Christian Larkins

Hey there Jack, just thought I would say "Hey!" Hope all is well. I'm looking on line for places for Tiffany to get married. I guess she is going to run off to Vegas for a few days. Sounds like fun! So I was checking things out and I thought while I was sitting here I would type you a line or two. Tell Karen I said "Hi." I want to come and see you guys real soon. And I will too!!! Maybe I could bring you a turkey sandwich!!!hahahaha :) No.... you really need something better than that!!! Anyway, I am going to come out soon, for real. So you be good and get better all ready!!! I'm tired of you not being able to come in!!! I bet you are too!! I miss you Jack. Take care and I'll be in touch... Lori

I never doubted for a moment that you would be home soon and heading back to the I.E.! Once an IEer, always an IEer. You don't need me to tell you to live life to the fullest (I think you have) and if anything you have encouraged me to do the same! Please keep in touch and give my best to your family.

CONGRATULATIONS, JACK!

Jack when I come visit you should be a few shades darker:) God bless you and your family and I hope I can visit you in laguna beach one of these weekends. We all can't wait to start cooking for you here at the office. Silvia's husband is making you his famous chile verde recipe and is bringing me a plate too cuz it is sooo good. Beans and Rice too! I looked inside the hangar today and missed your smile. This weekend I am back traveling again but only to vegas. I have no more vacation and got quickly denied for more but that's ok. We will miss you for Carie's baby shower. I can't wait for all my dreams to come true of you walking back into the office and we all run and give you hugs. Love ya, Rich and Val

Jack,
I ran into Matt and Heather last night down at the Riverside Plaza and both were both excited to tell me how well you are doing. Your weekdays seem pretty busy and rehab and appointments, try to relax a little when you can don't push too hard. All is well at my end of the office, Sarah and I are already thinking of year end stuff, in the hopes of getting it handled ahead of time rather than last minute. Carie's baby shower is only a few weeks away and soon after we'll have another baby to add to all the others that have been added over the years. Mike is in New York for the Labor Day weekend to take care of some business and the boys are busy with their friends. I'll give Karen a call to see how you are feeling and perhaps stop by for a very short visit. Miss you each and every day and will see you soon. Love to you and the family

Well Jack;

I guess we lost the bet with Carie's baby - "NO TWINS". Maybe next time we guess we will get it right and get the "TWINS".

I hope you are taking care of yourself and eating healthy.

Hi Karen - I hope you are also taking care of yourself and I hope that you had a "GREAT" birthday.

Well Hawkins Family - Have a good Labor Day Holiday and Take Care and Hope To See You Soon.......

Silvia :)

Jack and Karen, Great to hear Jack has made such progress and is home. Hope it continues for him. I am in the planning stages of possibly making a trip down there in the not so distant future. I know seeing me could set anybody back but I want to see you. If you don't need a hug I do. I'll try to get in touch with you guys before I come.Karen, I know you and kids have been troopers. Great job. Terry Knight

Jack,
It has been really nice to see you at the office the past few days. For the staff who haven't seen you until now, they can't keep talking about how great you look and again how nice it is to see you. Don't over do your visit's for our sake make sure you tell some of us long winded people that you've got to take a break and rest. Maybe we'll get the hint and not stay so long in your office. Enjoy your weekend and I'll see you next week. Love to you and Karen, HKM

Well Jack, you're back! Back home, back in your own bed, back to work and back in the helicopter. All systems are go but we continue to pray for you. Of course, we also pray for your mighty wonderful servants, Karen, Katie, Matthew and those women feeding you the grapes. All is well and we are blessed to hear of your incredible progress. The job goes well, just waiting on SCE now so we can get Bldgs. B & C energized and start the testing of equipment, most crews are on the interior of 'A' and we are now working on the site hardscape U.G. Take care and will see you soon. Blue Skies and God Bless.
