Tracheostomy is History

Doctor's Report

The trach has been removed!!!!! This is a major step and we thank the Lord for this miracle!

Physical Therapy

Therapy is going great......Several highlights to report:

  • Jack is moving his right leg much better. Doctor's may splint his right leg to assist him with his walking.
  • Walking is coming along very well

Nutrition

Bring on the food.....Jack is eating now. Some of the latest: pasta, milkshakes, etc...

Family Report

Everyone is doing great!! Jack and Family are in great spirits, trusting and thanking the Lord in all things.

This was a great week. Many people visited Jack this past week and really boosted his spirits. Weekends are a slow time for Jack's therapy and he has time for all of us to come and visit him. Let's all try to make it out this weekend to show Jack and his family our support and love for them!!!

Hallelujah!

Wow, you got your trach out! Goodbye Pap-smear valve! Told you it will be out sooner than later. ;)

AND you're eating too?! I wish so badly that I was there for that moment! Of course, I'm over here cheering you on in spirit...can you hear me now? "Go go go Felony Flats!"

Hello Jackie:
It's been along time!! It was wonderful to see you at the USC hospital and now you are at St. Judes and continue to improve every day. Life is a blur and before you know it weeks have passed by. I so apologize to you and the family for not writing sooner. I was able to visit with Jenean while I was in Riverside.
What a treat for me. Seeing you was an insparation and I know that God is taking you in his arms every day to heal you. I'm so excited for you and the improvements you had. I continue to pray for you, trusting Him to do His exceedingly abundant in your life.
Continue to keep up the good work.
Love & blessings to you and the family

Jack,

WOW - great news each time an update comes on the blog. Just want to let you know we made it through the picnic today. What a wonderful time each and everyone of us had. Russ North took over the Super Nembus 3000 Water Gun (you would have been proud). Susanna and Keith got a trophy for the NOT SO NEWLYWED GAME. Some of the newbies like Doug and Tayna couldn't keep up with the old married folks. You joined in on the bubble gum blowing contest and gunny sack race (pictures to come) you did really well. We do have to changed one company policy for at least a couple of weeks, as all of us got Henna Tattoo's in all shapes and sizes, most visable to the naked eye and all big and bold. But Joel did say "Those will be covered on Monday, right". All fun aside, having Karen and Matt at the picnic made me feel that you weren't so far away. I know that you would have had a wonderful time today seeing all the kids having such a great time. Water balloons, egg toss and games galore just down your alley. Next, year I know you'll be first in line for all activities even the Henna Tattoos. Love to you and the family. Jane

Hi Jack,

What a wonderful visit we had on Saturday! You continue to amaze and lift us up, even from rehab! You are an inspiration to all and continue to model the way for both Keith and I. Justine called last night and mentioned she would like to come visit this week. Hopefully, things will work out and you will see our bright smiling faces once again! We are focused, and our vision is bright and crystal clear, we are here to make you proud! See you soon!
