Your Prayers & Stories Are Making A Difference!

Everyone's response to the Hawkin's Family blog has been outstanding!!

This is the latest update:

Jack is progressively improving. His temperature is normal and his appearance is improving. The family attributes that to all of your prayers and support. Tomorrow is a big day for Jack and he will need your prayers. They have requested that we continue with telling fun stories on the blog.

If anything, knowing that so many of you care and love Jack has helped keep his spirits up. It is a blessing to have such a tight knit community of friends to aid in their support through this journey.

We will do our best to update you on this site. Again your prayers and stories are very much coveted. Please let others know about the blog so that we can continue to lift up Jack.

Matt, I love you, bro, and I am still praying for you and your family!

Mr. Hawkins,
Only God knows how many lives you have touched over the years through your godly generous lifestyle. Ever since I told my parents what happened, they have been heartbroken and in constant prayer. You are also in my prayers. I know that God has plans for you and is going to take care of you in whatever way that means. Unfortunately, we can't know God's plans, for his ways and thoughts are so far above our ways and thoughts, but I do know that He loves you and wants the best for you.

There are so many people praying for you, it amazes me and I know that God hears the earnest prayers of His people.

Hawkins Family,
If there is anything at all I can do for you guys, please do not hesitate to call on my family. We are here to support you in whatever you need. Whether it be a meal, errands to be run, anything, just call (Matt has my number). We love you so much and are praying for you all!

May the God of all grace, peace, and love continue to shine on you and cast out all fear.

Much love and support,
Tyler Bianco

Hi Hawkins Family...

Even out here in Indiana I learned quickly about what had happened because the WCS students had mobilized a huge prayer chain through phone text messages!!! You guys have always been a family that is willing to be there for anyone in need at anytime. Know that your extended "family" is getting the chance to repay you now. I think of you often and continue to pray.

Much love,

Becky Cramer

Hawkins Family,
I just spoke with Riverside City Fire Deparment, Engine 3 personnel that responded on Jack at Baker's restaraunt. They were concernced about how Jack was doing and I gave them this blog address. They have posted it at their Fire Station as a "favorite" so they can hear about Jack's improvements. They wanted me to send their prayers and support to the family.

Dear Hawkins Family,

We were so deeply touched when we heard about Jack's illness. I know that when my Dad went through his 6X heart bipass surgery and my husband, Brian, went through his back surgery that the board was praying for my family. Please be assured that we are praying for yours. Jack, we know God is the Great Physician and know us better than the doctors do. Praying that our Heavenly Physician will touch just where it's needed and that you will be fully restored by His loving hands. For the rest of the family, prayers for you for strength, comfort and joyful moments as you watch the Lord at work in the lives of the one who has stood so strongly for your family. Grace and peace to you all!

Hello Hawkins Family,

I want to let you know that your Family is in my Families daily prayers. It is a blessing to be a part of this tremendous prayer chain created by family and friends.

Your family has touched many hearts in such beautiful ways.

I have attached a prayer By Joel Osteen Ministries, it reminds me of you Jack.... always smiling with joy in your heart.

“This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)

Joy is a tough word to pinpoint and define. Many people describe joy as an emotion or a feeling that comes over you in a great and shining moment. Sometimes joy is just the opposite of being angry, but hopefully it’s much more than that to you. Joy is not the same as happiness, because joy is what God has put in your heart, while happiness is a temporary mood that can come and go. The Bible talks about the kind of overflowing joy that rises up from deep within your heart because of what God has done for you. He keeps that spring full and flowing, which is why you can choose to live in joy today, tomorrow, and every day after. Joy like this is contagious, and the world is looking for it.

A Prayer for Today

God, I choose joy today! Thank You for placing in my heart a deep well of joy that I can draw from each day. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God Bless You All;
Lisa Moseley & Family

Matt,
You and your family are blessed so much. The constant prayers is just one clue but the love that each person has who wrote something on this blog is just crazy to even fathom. I can see the love that you have for your dad through the couple texts we have sent to one another. Your dad and your family has been on my heart since I heard. You guys have blessed so many because you care so much. Keep it up. God has strength to supply any need. The Lord can see your father and he has everything in his hands. He knows everything!!!
Here are some passages to encourage you...
Psalm 112
Psalm 73:21-28
Psalm 100
Psalm 77:10-20
Psalm 61-62
Psalm 148, 149, 150

Keep the faith...
Me and my family are here for you if you need anything

Dear Jack and Family,

You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Jack you have inspired, motivated, and encouraged me so much. I am a completely different person than I was when I walked through Diffenbaugh's doors a year and a half ago.
Today, I caught myself reminiscing about a meeting we were in a few weeks ago, where you caught me checking my email on my cell phone. I left the meeting for a minute and sure enough when I returned my cell phone was missing. I asked you for it back because I knew out of everyone in the room it had to be you that took it. You told me that you would never do such a thing. At about my third request you drew a picture of me "stressed out" over my missing cell phone. It was the funniest thing.

Continuing to pray with you,

So

Dear Hawkins family,
Our paths keep crossing in so many funny ways, I feel that I know you by association. At least, we are siblings in Christ and for that we are blessed. We are praying for your speedy and complete recovery. Also, that God's perfect timing and will are evident to you during this time. May his peace fill your hearts and minds. In His love,

Dear Karen, Jack Sr. and Jenean,
Harold and I want to send you our love and prayers for all of you and Jack during this stressful time. We have been thinking of you and your entire family and praying for Jack to steadily improve and for God to give you all the strength you will need to help Jack recover.
Jack has touched Harold's and my life in so many ways over the past thirty years, we feel blessed to call Jack our friend. We can never fully repay Jack for all the wonderful things he has been responsible for in our lives, but I am a believer in Karma and I know all the good Jack has done for everyone will come back to him now.
Please give Jack our love and tell him for us that everyone needs him to recover so that he can continue to bless all of us with his friendship and love.

Dear Karen & Family,

I have been with Diffenbaugh for only one week before this "temporary setback" and "opportunity to witness a miracle" happened. I connected with the Jack the very first time that I met him. I was convinced that this is the place that my Lord would have me apply my talents. Not only was Jack's impression immediate but it has legs to support itself. It is not often that we get to experience first hand some of GOD's greatest vessels of purpose up close.

Therefore, I consider myself very fortunate to have met Jack, and anxiously await his return so that a quick friendship can continue.

I hope that you and your wonderful family can find some comfort in GOD's words found in Jeremiah 29:11. For now, let's all just sit back and enjoy and marvel at the miracle that is about to take place.

My our loving Father continue to leave his fingerprints over all aspects of you and your family's lives leading to the only conclusion...."Our Loving Father is with us no matter where we go".

Hi Jack,
We are deeply in prayer right now for you. You have blessed our family time and time again. We cant thank you enough for your gracious and giving heart. Jennifer and I still talk about when you took us in the helicopter and helped plan when I proposed to Jennifer. You have touched our lives in more ways than you could ever imagine, and you have touched my brothers heart and treated him like one of your own, He is very lucky to have such a wonderful man as a prospect for his future father-in-law :o) We continually pray for you, and I was just at Cal Baptist yesterday and you are in their prayers constantly as well. We Love You, and we are paraying for your whole family, Karen, Heather, Katie and Matt.

Jack & Gaye,

We learned about Jack, Jr. while on a trip to Arkansas/Missouri. Please know that we join the many others in expressing our concern for Jack and for the two of you as you walk through this together with our Lord. We know that you are both people of great Faith. Our prayers will be for all of you who are so closely involved with Jack Jr and in his recovery.
